What is it?
UNCG is upgrading Banner Finance, Employee, General, Student, and Registration from Self-Service Banner 8 to Self-Service Banner 9 (SSB9).
Why are we doing it?
Implementing SSB9 will bring updated features, such as a responsive, mobile-friendly design. Additionally, Self-Service Banner 8 (SSB8) will no longer be supported by Ellucian after March 2024.
How will I be impacted?
Self-Service Banner 9 (SSB9) interfaces will upgrade according to the timelines provided on this page and will have a new look and feel. All features and services offered in SSB8 will be available in SSB9, with the exception of ID & PIN login. UNCG will manage the transition away from ID & PIN login and provide updates on what steps are being taken to maintain continuity.
When will this be implemented?
Finance, General, and Employee modules will be upgraded on November 8, 2023. Student and Registration modules will be upgraded on February 12.
