What is it?
The IT Controls Audit specifically requires UNCG to “establish central authority and structure that would enable development and implementation of a comprehensive IT governance” program for distributed IT for technology asset management, critical vulnerabilities remediation, software patching, as well as the protection, monitoring, remediation and disposal of sensitive data. To comply with this requirement, UNCG will develop a comprehensive IT personnel management procedure to set common expectations and management requirements of employees with position duty or responsibility to operate, manage, or support university technology services. The procedure will ensure greater institutional coherence with new and established technology policies, standards, and guidelines.
Why are we doing it?
To comply with UNC System and IT Controls Audit requirements.

When will it be completed?
This initiative is expected to be implemented by Summer 2023.
