What is it?
The University currently uses WebFocus and Argos to do the same thing.
Why are we doing it?
A single reporting platform will reduce cost, standardize and simplify the user experience, and eliminate the need for having report developers for multiple reporting platforms.
Additionally, UNCG will benefit from…
- more timely report development
- increased quality and speed of report access
- clearer process for requesting development of new reports
- a more efficient and functional cloud platform
How will I be impacted?
We expect this change to be disruptive for those who use these platforms. It will require some time for users to review current reports and ensure their accuracy. Training on the newly upgraded environment will be provided.
When will this be implemented?
WebFOCUS Cloud was implemented in Spring 2023, and we anticipate Argos to be migrated to WebFOCUS Cloud by September 2024.
What do I need to do?
- If you are a current WebFOCUS user, get acquainted with the new cloud platform.
- If you are an Argos user, participate in WebFOCUS training when it is made available.
- All users will need to participate in report-validation training.
- Follow ITS News for announcements.
